Urban Planning and Design is a company that started operation in 2014. During its short time in operation we have serviced and provided advice to a number of Adelaide’s well-known building companies, small to medium property developers and individuals.
Having experienced first hand the frustrations of first time, and even experienced developers, with project delays incurred through the Council approval process, we set out to provide a service that manages this process for clients time efficiently an effectively. The Director, who is a qualified planner, oversees the design process as well as ensuring the appropriate documentation is complied and submitted therefore reducing delays.
With increasing price sensitivity in relation to construction costs, we also provide a building tender service. This allows our clients to obtain the best, fixed price from the builder rather than relying on provisional sums throughout the contract, which can lead to costs overruns.
Customer service is our highest priority and each project is personally handled and professionally carried out. Our advice is well researched to ensure we are proving our clients with current and relevant information. We have built strong relationships with external consultants such as designers and architects, engineers and building certifiers.

Prior to establishing Urban Planning & Design I had six years experience in working in Local Government as a planner and six years experience working in the private sector. As a planner in Local Government my role was to undertake assessments of a variety of types of residential, commercial and industrial development. My experience in the private sector has involved working with a local building company as well as a well-known Adelaide based property development company.
I have a passion for property development and have completed a number of my own projects. I enjoy working with people who have similar goals and most importantly understand their needs. It has been my experience with my own projects that obtaining the right advice and information and engaging the right people for the right job is paramount.
