Fast Tracked Approvals

21

The state government has simplified the assessment process for various types of development through the introduction of the Residential Code.  The Residential Code provides owners and developers an opportunity to gain faster approvals.  The types of developments suitable for a fast tracked approval include the following:

  • minor structures such as carports, verandahs and sheds
  • single storey alterations and additions to existing dwellings
  • new single-storey and two-storey detached and semi-detached homes

Our in-house planner is a registered private certifier for the purpose of being able to approve developments that satisfy the Residential Code.  The Residential Code sets out performance criteria related to physical aspects of the development, such as location, height, boundary set-backs and site coverage. Compliance with these criteria allows for a fast-tracked assessment process, often an approval can be achieved in a week.  To find out if your project meets the Residential Code requirements click on the link below.

Once a Planning Consent is issued for your project we utilise our relationships with external consultants to provide documentation to achieve full Development Approval.  It is at this stage where we utilise our knowledge and understanding of building constructions methods and costs of materials to ensure you can maximise the profit in your project.  The information we prepare during this stage of the process is then used in the tendering process.

Land Division

If your project requires the subdivision of land we can manage the process to ensure a smooth and timely delivery of approvals and titles.  Our knowledge of the local and state government requirements and our relationship with industry leading surveyors provides you with the piece of mind that we have appropriately analysed your project to avoid unnecessary costs and delays.
